Description

All photos on 1x are selected by a team of professional gallery curators, just like in a real photo gallery. Our curators have experience from well known institutions such as Sothebys and Tate Modern Art. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Its no coincidence that art directors, book editors, and magazines all over the world use photos from 1x photographers. 1x is not your average photo site. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured a hidden, wooden frame. Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished painting. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece.
