The Twelve Carbon Composite sole, whilst not as light as that found on the Wire, has been specifically designed to cradle the foot perfectly, lending great levels of both comfort and performance. 2 buttons on the side of the dial are depressed to release the lever to allow tightening/loosening of the shoe. In addition, the Sidi Ergo 5 features their Adjustable Heel Security System. The Ergo 5 sees an upgrade from the 2-way caliper ratchet and twin velcro strap on the lesser models, to the Tecno 3 closure system. Sidi's legendary customisable comfort and fit are of course a main feature of the Ergo 5. The system allows for millimetre precise adjustment for a fit. The bottom of the closure is a single small velcro strap. Now made using a dense Memory Foam, the Ergo 5's Soft Instep 3 will beautifully conform to your feet after a few rides to give an excellent level of tailored comfort and fit, otherwise unobtainable without the use of moldable offerings. The Ergo 5s deliver everything you could need for racing or sportives, club runs or solo ventures. The Ergo 5 shares many of the features of the Wire and Shot models. It has long been part of SIDI's range and offers the rider an additional level of fit at the heel. A small allen key adjusts the system which wraps around the heel for more or less grip depending on the foot and which helps to reduce heel slip and rub. The system allows for millimetre precise adjustment for a perfect fit.
