The Neutron 2 for Men by Scarpa is a shoe for off-road running as well as speed walking. The Scarpa Neutron 2 is a very supportive and stable shoe, as well suited to running off-road as it is to mountain biking or walking. The upper of the shoe is made from a breathable mesh fabric, ideal for use in warm weather, with a Scarpa-designed PU framework heat-sealed over the top and wrapped under the arch. A TPU toe cap gives great protection from rocks and the sock-fit LW construction means the stretchy tongue gives a really snug fit across the top of your foot (a hidden pocket tucks the laces out of the way too). The Genetic sole unit is made up of two densities of EVA for support and increased cushioning under the heel, while an ergonomic ESS shank runs the length of the midfoot to give support and torsion control. The Vibram outsole has differing lug patterns for traction on mixed terrain, and the megagrip rubber compound is optimised for maximum grip without sacrificing durability.
