Deer look for protein-heavy forage throughout the colder seasons to help maintain weight and warmth. When Winter comes, deer are seeking high protein counts, and you should be seeking a food plot mixture that supplies them. Hancock's Fall & Winter Food Plot Seed Mix is the answer, featuring a variety of protein-heavy legumes. Our Winter food plot blend is, plain-and-simple, quality seed with quality results. To effectively observe the wildlife impact on your food plot, place a 10' x 6' barrier, made of chicken wire and zip ties, in the middle of your food plot (be sure to staple down the wire with camping stakes). By using the barrier you may find that some seed varieties grow better, and that the deer prefer some varieties more than others, depending on your specific location.
