How to Upgrade ECC UDIMMs: Virtually any configuration up to 16GB can be reached using Kingston's 1, 2 and 4GB ECC UDIMMs up to four modules. Single or Dual Rank RDIMMs: Virtually any configuration up to 24GB can be reached by using 1, 2 and 4GB SR or DR RDIMMs up to 6 modules. This system supports six (6) Single or Dual Rank Reg ECC RDIMMs or four (4) Quad Rank RDIMMs or ECC UDIMMs. Intel Xeon 3400 series processors use Registered memory. Due to chipset limitations, DDR3 Quad Rank memory will operate at 1066MHz in the first Dual Channel bank. Our DDR3-1333 modules automatically clock down to 1066MHz and 800MHz depending on which Intel Xeon model is installed and how many module Banks are populated.
